A bartender was shocked one evening to watch a gorilla walk in and sit down on a stool next to the bar. Somewhat timidly the bartender moved closer to get a better look at the gorilla when the animal said in perfectly understandable English, "I'll have a Scotch and soda please." Almost without giving it any thought the bartender went through the motions of preparing the drink and handed it to the gorilla. The bartender was further amazed when the gorilla promptly handed him a twenty dollar bill. Shaking his head the bartender put the note in the cash register. Then an idea suddenly came to him. He would try to test the gorilla's intelligence by only giving him five dollars back in change. So, he handed the five dollar bill to the gorilla who took it without saying anything. After about five minutes of watching the gorilla slowly enjoy his drink the bartender put his elbow on the counter and tried to strike up a conversation. With a smile he said, "Say, we don't have many gorillas coming in here too often." The gorilla replied, "At fiftteen dollars a drink, I'm not surprised."
